Youth Employment PartnerSHIP. Counterfactual impact evaluation of hiring incentives and EPL reduction on youth employment in Italy

Abstract

This presentation aims at describining the counterfactual methodology applied to evaluate the impact of hiring incentives policies and EPL reduction on youth employment in Italy. The policies under scrutiny were introduced to recover Italian economy after “the Great recession” (2007-2014). The results of this study could therefore be of interest considering that the Italian labour market is about to face a new unprecedented shock after the pandemic crisis which is hitting the world economy in 2020.
