Abstract:
Presentation. National Offender Management Service (NOMS) is an executive agency of the UK Ministry of Justice, created in April 2008 with the aim of helping prison and probation services work together to manage offenders throughout their sentences. This document aims at presenting the experience carried out by NOMS as a partner of a trans-national network for a project of social inclusion intended as active inclusion addressed to re-enter disadvantaged people in the labour market. The focus is on “marginalized communities” (whose features can be: drug and alcohol abuse, the status of offenders/ex-offenders, mental health, physical and learning difficulties, gender specific issues) and on “troubled families” (whose features can be: multi-generational unemployment, offenders families, anti-social behavior, educational difficulties, gender specific issues). 29/11/2012
